The expectation that Apple will host a virtual event in the spring of this year (2022), where the 3rd generation iPhone SE and 5th generation iPad Air will be announced, is becoming more prevalent. Meanwhile, the registration of products that seemed to be those devices was discovered in the public database.

France's Apple-related information site Consomac reports that it has found registrations for new products with "iOS 15" and "iPad OS 15" in the Eurasian Economic Community (EEC) database. There are three new iPhone (iOS devices) model numbers: "A2595, A2783, A2784". And the iPad side is "A2436, A2696, A2759, A2437, A2591, A2757, A2761, A2766".

EEC is the executive body of the Eurasian Economic Union, to which Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, etc. belong. Since reporting to the EEC is legally required before selling devices that use cryptography in these regions, it is customary for unreleased devices to be "launched within a few months of registration." .. Most recently, clues were found prior to the announcement of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro (2021).

However, since the EEC registration information only contains vague explanations such as "smartphone" and "tablet", it is unclear which model number corresponds to what product configuration. The US 9to5Mac estimates that at least the iPhone model number is likely to be the SKU (minimum identification unit for inventory) of the next iPhone SE.

The period from registration in the EEC database to shipping of the product varies, but it is about 3 months on average. And the next iPhone SE and iPad Air are rumored to be announced from March to April, and they are generally in agreement.

Both the next iPhone SE and the 5th generation iPad Air are expected to remain minor changes from the current model. First of all, the new iPhone SE has the same appearance design (the same as the 2017 iPhone 8), but the processor has been replaced with the A15 Bionic, processing is faster, and it is compatible with 5G.

On the other hand, the new iPad Air is expected to have the same performance as the iPad mini (2021), including 15 chips, 5G, and center frame support.

The iPhone SE is expected to be redesigned in 2023 or 2024, with some arguing that the screen will be wider (such as 5.7 inches) and the home button will be abolished. In addition, there are rumors that the iPad Air will eventually come out with an organic EL version, but in both cases, the 2022 spring model is likely to be "the same as before and only the performance is improved".
