Xiaomi's flagship smartphone "Xiaomi 11T Pro" released in Japan on November 5th. Xiaomi has released a number of high-end smartphones so far, but this is the first time to introduce a flagship to Japan.
It is a flagship with high-end specifications such as Snapdragon 888, 120Hz driven large screen display, 5000mAh large capacity display and FeliCa compatibility, but the price is modest like usual Xiaomi. The 8GB / 128GB model is 69,800 yen, which is less than 70,000 yen, and some MVNOs sell it for 50,000 yen, and if you combine it with discounts such as MNP, you can purchase it for 40,000 yen. , is a terminal with a very attractive price tag.

Xiaomi 11T Pro with 6.67 inch flat display
The display is a 6.67-inch 2400 x 1800 organic EL with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vison. Android flagships often have edge displays, but the Xiaomi 11T Pro has a flat display. This area is a matter of taste, but I personally have a good impression.
The body size is 164.1 x 76.9 x 8.8 mm, which is almost the same as the 6.7-inch Pixel 6 Pro (163.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm). The width is 1 mm wider, but when it comes to this size, you can't tell the difference of about 1 mm even if you hold it in your hand. The weight of the main body is 204 g, which is lighter than 210 g of Pixel 6 Pro. The difference is only 6g, but you can feel the difference.
Power supply and volume on the right side of the main unit. The fingerprint sensor doubles as the power button.
The edges on the back are gently curved, and although the device is wide, it fits well in the hand. The rear camera consists of a 108-megapixel wide-angle camera, an 8-megapixel eccentric camera, and a 5-megapixel telemacro. A microphone is also installed in the camera bump section, and it also supports audio zoom that captures the sound of the zoomed point when shooting video.
Triple camera with 108 million pixels
I feel like 108-megapixel cameras are no longer a rarity these days. The sensor size is 1/1.52 inch and the pixel size is 0.7 μm. As it is, it will be disadvantageous in terms of light quantity, but we will cover it with a super pixel that increases the light quantity by bundling 9 (3x3 pixels). Of course, it is also possible to shoot with 18 million pixels as it is. It may be useful if it is outdoors in bright daytime.
Here are some examples.
Although it cannot be used for photos (still images), "Dual Video", which shoots the rear and front at the same time, can be used for video shooting. The rear camera at this time seems to be fixed at 1x (wide-angle camera).
It supports up to 8K30fps (60fps for 4K) for video recording.
Harman/kardon's supervised stereo sound is also good
No matter how beautiful the display is, if the sound is monaural, the real thrill of watching videos will be spoiled, but the Xiaomi 11T Pro is equipped with stereo speakers supervised by harman/kardon. Even without using earphones or headphones, the sound quality is good.
In addition, the speaker position is on the right side of the main unit, and when held horizontally with the power button facing up, it is positioned so that it is on the top side, so it is difficult to block the speaker even if you hold it with both hands while playing a game.
100% charge in less than 20 minutes
Another feature of the Xiaomi 11T Pro is fast charging at up to 120W. Although it has a large capacity battery of 5000mAh, it can be charged to 100% in 17 minutes with the included charger.
By the way, USB-A specification instead of USB Type-C. Of course, a USB-A to C cable is also included.
Regarding the charging speed, I was able to charge it to 100% in just over 20 minutes. I couldn't check the actual charging voltage and current value because I couldn't charge it with the tester I had at hand, but charging was completed in no time. In this case, I forgot to charge in the morning! Even in that case, it seems that charging will end while you are getting dressed.
I was worried about the heat generated by this quick charge, but the main unit was only slightly warm and the temperature was surprisingly low. The charger does get pretty hot.
Recommended one if you can tolerate the size
Finally, I also took a benchmark. AnTuTu's score is "634,495", which gives the impression that it is a little low for a Snapdragon 888, but otherwise it is reasonable.
Because it is based on Android 11 and has its own MIUI 12.5, the feeling of operation is slightly different from the original Android, but MIUI has become more familiar with each generation, and it is not particularly difficult to use. (Although there is a problem of getting used to it).
For those who want a high-end smartphone but feel that recent models are too expensive, it seems like an attractive option.
