There is not much left this year, and Apple has prepared the final surprise.

Ah, it's not another Apple event this year.

Is the release of new features for iPhone and iPad.

Although iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2 were released on December 13th with no sign of general control, some of the features promised by WWDC in June 2021 have finally emerged.

However, especially if you are using any new iPhone 13 Pro model, you already have a lot of excellent features.

We will introduce the important new features of iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2 at once. I know. There's nothing to lose.

1. "Privacy Application report"

The latest feature of IOS 15.2 is the long-awaited Privacy App report. This is similar to screen time, but your goal is to apply data, and you can see which applications use which data, sensors, and network activity.

Select "Settings", "Privacy", "Application Privacy report" and "Open Application Privacy report" to begin. For information about how iOS applications track users on iPhone, see the guide here.

2.Apple Music's "Voice" plan

Apple's new $4.99 (480 yen per month in Japan) Siri dedicated Apple Music program is now available for devices equipped with iOS 15.2 and iPadOS 15.2.

This half-price plan allows you to listen to all Apple Music songs without ads, but only if you use Siri requests.

You can also operate playback and pause in this application, but features such as Lyrics and Spatial Audio are not available. Even with such restrictions, the value of using the plan depends on everyone's judgment.

3. "parts and repair resume"

Apple added the "parts and maintenance History" section to "Settings", "General", "Information". If you have replaced a part on an iPhone or iPad, it appears in this section.

If the replacement part is genuine, the label "Apple authentic parts" is displayed next to it. If it is a third-party unauthentic part, a warning icon and an unknown part label are displayed. This function is explained in detail in the "parts and repair resume" wizard.

4.iCloud+

People who use the iCloud payment plan can automatically get additional features by using iCloud+. 15.2 adds a new "private email" feature and extends it to any message you want to use in your mail application.

Open the mail application to create a new message, and then click the from button. Here, if you select Private Mail, you may use an anonymous mail address to send the message.

5. The "macro button" of the camera application

One of the trickiest features in the IPhone 13 Pro camera application is automatic macro mode. When you are close enough to the subject, iPhone will automatically switch to macro mode, but there is no "off" switch, which is very difficult.

In iOS 15.2, when the camera enters "macro mode", the "macro button" (flower shape icon) actually displayed in the lower left corner is added to the camera interface. Click this button when you want to end Macro Mode.

6. Allow Music applications to search in playlists

You can finally search in a long playlist without entering the search page.

Open the playlist and slide down to display the search bar. Search here and only the results from the current playlist will be filtered.

7. Multiple tags can be edited through the reminder

We are loyal fans of the new tag feature of the reminder app, but so far, we cannot edit or delete multiple tags.

But I finally did it! Now, go to the "tags" section, click and select multiple tags, and then click the "menu" button to edit and delete.

8. "Find My" can also be found on iPhone without power.

After the IPhone battery is exhausted, it will be in a state called "power reserve". The battery will be depleted for up to 5 hours, and you can use the "Find My" application to find your own iPhone.

9. "left behind contact lenses"

Another feature agreed upon for the first time in WWDC will appear in iOS 15.2.

That's the "traditional contact lens" function. This feature allows users to select people who can access and download Apple ID data at the time of death.

The "legacy contact lenses" will be enabled after the death diagnosis and the special code provided by Apple, and once available, Apple can unlock its iPhone and iPad.

When the device is equipped with iOS 15.2, you can start with "Settings", "profile", "password and Security", "traditional contacts".

10. New options added in emergency notification

There is a small update in the Emergency SOS section of Settings.

The function of emergency notification can be made by long pressing the side button and volume button or pressing the side button 5 times. So far, the waiting time of five seconds has been changed to eight seconds, and it has become difficult to call 911 by mistake.

In addition, you can disable the hold button feature (call with hold).

11. "Communication Security" function for minors of "message" application

Apple starts rolling out the child's "communication security" feature to messaging applications. This feature is a selection feature that parents need to enable, and when enabled, you will scan whether the message received by the child's device is arbitrary.

Please do not confuse this feature with the Apple iCloud photo nude photo scanning feature (which is still under development), as this feature applies only to children's accounts.

12. New "Store" tab in TV application

The era of accessing iTunes applications is over in order to buy or rent movies. A new "Store" tab has been added to the TV application, and you can now find new content.

13. "Stock" application is more convenient

In the stocks application, you can view Tek's currency or view the performance at the beginning of the year in a chart.

14.CarPlay maps show more detailed information

The Apple map on CarPlay shows new details, including turning lanes, central barriers, bicycle lanes, and crosswalks (if supported).

15. Improve the security of Siri and search

Apple has added "extended guidance" to Siri, Spotlight and Safari searches to improve online security for parents and children.

The guidance can also help parents and children in unsafe situations that may be encountered when using the Internet.

16.6 bug fixes

The IOS update is a bug fix.
